These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Varoavo mobile application, related websites, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using Varoavo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Varoavo is a universal token and queue management system that helps users obtain tokens for services (such as salons, clinics, consultants, coaching centers, and local service shops) and helps providers manage walk-in and advance token queues. The app offers two modes:
- User mode — discover providers, book or join queues, and track your position.
- Provider mode — configure business profile, generate QR codes, and manage queues.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law.
- You must provide a valid mobile phone number to register; login is completed via one-time password (OTP).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and for all activity under your account.
- If you create a provider (business) account, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that business.
3. Roles and Use of the Service
3.1 User Mode
As a user, you may:
- Search for participating providers by name, category, or location.
- View provider profiles, opening hours, and basic queue information (e.g., people waiting, estimated time).
- Join a live queue or book a token for a configured time slot, where available.
- Scan provider QR codes to instantly receive tokens on arrival.
- View and manage your active and past tokens.
As a user, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information (including names when booking for others).
- Arrive reasonably near your estimated time and follow provider instructions.
- Cancel tokens you will not use, where that option is available.
3.2 Provider Mode
As a provider, you may:
- Create and manage a business profile, including name, category, address, and basic description.
- Configure operating hours, token capacity, and time slots.
- Generate and display QR codes so users can join queues.
- View and manage queues (mark tokens as completed, skip no-shows, or pause queues).
- View basic analytics and historical queue statistics.
As a provider, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date business information.
- Use Varoavo only to manage genuine service queues for your business.
- Respect user privacy and handle any data you see (such as names and token details) only for legitimate service purposes.
- Not sell or misuse user data obtained via the Service.
4. No Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice
Varoavo is a queue and token management tool only. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, or any other professional advice. Any advice or service you receive is solely between you and the provider.
5. Tokens, Queues, and Limitations
- Tokens indicate your position in a queue or a reserved position within a time slot configured by the provider.
- Estimated wait times are automatically calculated based on provider configuration and queue activity and are only estimates.
- Providers may pause queues, mark tokens as completed or no-show, or close early due to operational reasons.
- Varoavo does not guarantee that a token will always result in service; the final decision rests with the provider.
6. Fees and Payments
In the current version, Varoavo does not process in-app payments for services between users and providers. Any fees for services are handled directly between you and the provider outside the app.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Misuse tokens or attempt to manipulate queues (for example, by generating excessive or fake tokens).
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app or backend.
- Upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.
8. Permissions and Device Access
The mobile app requests certain permissions to function as intended. Details of how data is handled are described in our Privacy Policy, but at a high level:
- Location — to show nearby providers and improve discovery; used when you grant permission.
- Camera — to scan QR codes for tokens and optionally capture profile photos.
- Photos/Media/Storage — to upload profile images and save QR codes you choose to download.
- Notifications — to send alerts about token status (e.g., when your turn is near) and important account updates.
- Internet/Network — to communicate with our servers and synchronize data.
- Microphone/Audio (Android) — requested by the underlying platform configuration; we do not record or store audio unless we introduce specific in-app audio features, in which case this policy will be updated.
9. Third-Party Services
Varoavo uses trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service, including but not limited to:
- Backend hosting, database, and authentication services (for example, Supabase).
- Push notification delivery services (for example, platform notification services and related SDKs).
- Analytics and logging systems used to monitor stability and performance.
These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards. For details, see the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including trademarks, logos, text, graphics, UI design, and software) are owned by Varoavo and/or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
Varoavo operates solely as an intermediary technology platform that connects users with independent service providers. We do not ourselves provide any of the underlying services (such as medical, salon, government, or other professional services) listed or managed through the app. Each provider is an independent entity responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of their own services. Accordingly, Varoavo is not liable for any loss, injury, dispute, or dissatisfaction arising from the acts or omissions of any provider or user. This clause is intended to fall within the safe-harbour protections available to intermediary platforms under applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules framed thereunder.
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Queue positions and wait time estimates are calculated based on provider settings and activity and may not always be accurate.
- We are not responsible for any acts, omissions, quality of service, or conduct of providers or users.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Varoavo and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you have paid (if any) for use of the Service during the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Varoavo and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another party.
14. Suspension and Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
- You may stop using the app at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service to improve functionality, security, or compliance. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Varoavo is operated, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Your local mandatory consumer protection laws may also apply.
